A Sovereign Exclusive Review of Oceania Vista

By Tony Mallinson

Last week members of the senior sales team at The Sovereign Cruise Club were fortunate enough to experience Oceania Cruises newest ship Oceania Vista. Oceania Vista is the first ship in their new Allura Class and is the first new-build ship since the launch of Oceania Riviera & Oceania Marina.

Oceania Cruises have built Vista with “A view to the Future” and is a statement of intent as to where the Del Rio family are looking to position Oceania in the premium luxury cruise market. Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises said, “Vista will present a fresh perspective on the finest cuisine at sea with an astounding array of dining options that range from informal to the extravagant.” Our team that visited this ship could not echo these points more.

Tony Mallinson, The Sovereign Cruise Club Marketing & Operations Senior Manager “The moment that you join the ship, you are greeted by the large, open and bright centre of the ship where you can see the level of craftsmanship which has gone into the building of Vista.”

“There are many parts of the ship, which have raised the bar for Oceania Cruises from the curved staircase and light feature to the wider expansive open decks, all the modern elegance of Oceania Vista will position the Allura class to be the favourite ships in the Oceania fleet”.

Charlotte Emery, Reservations Manager “Our experience in Red Ginger can only be described as second to none. From the moment we were greeted by the maître-d to the moment we left, every part of the evening was unmatched.”

“The waiters who were serving us, addressed us both by our first names and introduced themselves to us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and recommended wines that we could pair with our dishes. We ordered a variety of dishes and the sushi was a real highlight for me, all the food was so nicely presented and tasted incredible.”

“There was a lovely ambience in the restaurant and overall, it was an excellent dining experience. “

Megan Chan, Assistant Reservations Manager – “The Aquamar Spa Terrace on board is a beautiful area of the ship. As this is exclusive to Concierge Level Guests and above, it is an intimate and tranquil area to relax whilst sailing.”

“With plenty of sun loungers and day beds available, and complimentary beverages to help yourself to, there is no reason to leave. The area also includes a plunge pool and whirlpools.”
