Seabourn to recategorise their suites.

By Tony Mallinson

Seabourn have announced that beginning with their 2022 Alaska, Europe, and Canada & New England voyages they have recategorised some of their suites to not only simplify but to better reflect the specific suite features and amenities. This update will also align the suite categories across the Seabourn fleet, including the upcoming expedition ships that already have this category format.

Details of these changes are as follows for the current Seabourn fleet:

Simplified Veranda Suite Categories – Seabourn is eliminating the two higher categories of their Veranda Suites (V5 and V6) and re-assigning those into just four categories (V1 – V4).

New Owner’s Suite Category – Seabourn Owner’s Suites (Category OW) were more varied in configurations and locations than other Premium Suite categories. To better reflect these differences, we have subdivided the Owner’s Suites into two different categories  — O1 and O2. The O2 suites are suites 600 and 601 on the Odyssey-class ships and suites 700 and 701 on the Encore class ships, these suites do experience noise when anchoring and are on lower decks than the new O1 suite grade.

Please note that prior to their summer 2022 voyages, Seabourn will continue to use the existing deck plans.

Below are further details about the recatorgorisation:

Odyssey, Sojourn, and Quest

There are now more A grade Ocean Front Suites and fewer A1 Ocean Front Suites.
